Dargo- Come on. Synthetic does nothing. Unless I can buy the oil locally, it can't be good.

Oh, there are tests that show Rotella goes for billions and billions of miles (more then the Space Shuttle) and works fine! Lets not knock Rotella. It has it place...Wal-mart, autozone…..

Face it, Synthetic has no discernable fuel economy benefit, no discernable engine life benefit plus it's not safe to extend oil changes when using a real synthetic. It does not matter what oil tests are shown, so there! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

In case anyone is new. This is called, "a joke", 180-degree from the true", "a lie", a "myth".....

PowerStrokes have specific problems relating to the particular operation of their fuelinjectors, however Shell Rotella 15W-40 dino will work well as long as you change it all the time.

Personally I would NOT be running a huge Garret Turbocharger like the one on the PowerStoke engines without a high quality full synthetic no matter what anyone has to say. Turbocharged diesels need the very highest quality lubrication of all.

Prepare for Ludicrous speed! Yes. We're going to have to go right to...Ludicrous speed.

correct: When I had my Powerchoke, some oil had foaming issues.
