A new L3430 HST to add on board

I finally took delivery of my new L3430 and LA723. After 3 years on my B7500, this thing is a whole other world. I just towed my 5000lb camper up a small incline on my lawn and it felt like the tractor wasn't even being tested.

First question (of many) - I towed 5000lbs in medium range at 2000 rpms without any trouble, so what's the low range for?

That's a cool photo. Makes you wish you had a road gear so you could drive it to Fla for the winter.

The low range is only to be used when towing the trailer AND using the FEL.
Nice machine, you will be happy for a long time.

Welcome to the L3430 Owners Group! Mine just passed 200 hours and is coming up on its 2nd birthday. All I've done is add fuel, follow Kubota's recommended maintenance schedule, and work the heck out of it.

That's the tractor I want to replace the dozer. May I ask how much you paid? You even got the right tires.

She ran me 21,800 with the fel and quick attach bucket. Looks like I'll need to keep my 5 year old van another 4 years. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ack, I was expecting around 20,000. Does that include a state sales tax? Seems high.

Tax not included. The list was 24,254 with everything (except tax). Dealer knocked 14 or 15 percent off which is the going rate. The comparable deere was 1k more.
