Nice job fixing up your old Allis. A loader makes a tractor much more useful. You should post pictures of you project at Unofficial Allis Home Page if you already haven't. The orange guys over there would really like them.

Eh...you know how them guys are...they'd rather argue about whether a 45 had a rain cap!! Me...I'd rather move manure....

Bob, what did you do for hydraulics? I know a WC didn't have any from the factory and a tractor without hyraulics is just something to ride aroud on. It looks good to me. Later, Nat

I took and old cast iron pulley and cut out the center, then just welded it to the one on the crank! Easiest way for me to do it without machine tools.I have changed the layout of the pulleys since this picture was taken, having put on a shorter heaver belt. This meant having to cut a slot in the frame rail and welding in additional steel.

Here is a newer shot..the tank is just an old fire extinquisher with the top cut off and a plate welded in.Put a dummy plate on the bottom to even things out.

And here is a shot of the three point...again..I have changed it since this picture. The sway bar has been replaced with a top link the is pinned to the lift arm for easier attachment .

Took her down to the neighbor's tonight and he pointed out an old spring harrow sitting in the weeds.Drug it out with Allie Kay and all I found wrong was a missing bracket for the wings and a broken C-spring.Think I'm gonna just take one wing off and use it in the garden!!

Great job on the old WC! I grew up on one just like that, and my brother still has it. It still runs great, but without hydraulics, it's only good for bush hogging. You have come up with a very ingenious solution for that.

Somebody makes a unit that slips over the pto output shaft and generates hydraulic pressure. I acquired one, didn't use it, and sold it to a friend for $100. He used it on a old red tractor to run a Ford loader he modified. He was tickled and so was I, till I needed one and am too cheap to buy one. Just have to keep looking for another used one.

I had to go with the crank mounted pump because I didn't want to loose hydraulics every time I pushed in the clutch.Would have been a lot easier to use the PTO or belt pulley, but couldn't load much with the clutch in.Gotta build another tool box too.The original one had to come off to make room for the FEL and was pretty well rusted through.Need that tool box because I always seem to use that big tractor to check on my chickens...a half yard bucket is not the best way to carry a few eggs!!!
