I don't know if it is just me or if others have this same problem?
But after driving off pulling a hitch with my winch control rope dragging on the ground one to many times I decided I needed to change something. No matter how many times I told myself not to leave the control rope on the ground I still did once in a while. The rope would get all wrapped in the logs or caught in a tire chain and break. If the pto was still active and the winch got engaged bad things happened.
So, I put a small tool or key chain retractor on the ROPS cross bar and ran my rope thru the ring. Now when I drop my control rope it snaps up to the top of the ROPS and hangs out of harms way. Simple minded but very helpful.
