Hi All,

I just purchased a new JD 4320 with cab and eHydro transmission. I've lost two nights sleep reading the manuals, but I can't wait to get out and figure it out.
Today was my first day of learning the controls. The speed shifter seems really hard to shift. Is that normal? Since there is no clutch am I supposed to push the brake or throttle pedals as I go to another speed? I need to look, but I thought it said to be stopped before you shift the speed range. I am, but geez....it's tough to move! Any help?

Welcome.
Need to be stopped completely. If the lever is hard to budge, give it just a hair of forward pedal while moving the lever. If still in a bind try just a hair of rear pedal.
I have the same setup (4120 ehydro) and it does the same if it's in a little bind. It's normal.

You might try briefly touching the reverse pedal especially if using 4WD. This will help release any binding of drives between frt & rear tires.

Tx Jim & dusty3030, thanks for your advice. I'll give it a try this morning.

Don't force it! I hear they are easy to snap the shaft at the trans housing.

As dusty3030 posted, just a light tap of the reverse pedal will normally do the trick.
