I think this question will also apply to the 770's, 850's, 870's and probably some other models too that use the three piece ROPS.... What grade bolt is used at the top of the ROPS to join the three sections together, with those two cast iron pieces? The reason I ask is because I just bought a golf cart roof off of a guy on CL and plan to use it as a low budget canopy on my tractor. My idea is replace the 4 bolts that are in the two upright sections with 1" longer bolts, and simply add an extra nut beyond the nut that is already on each bolt. This will keep the ROPS design original, but at the same time it will give me a convenient attachment point for two brackets that I plan fab up to attach the roof to the ROPS. I would imagine these are Grade 8 bolts? Anyone know for sure? Thanks.....
