Hi Folks,
We've been looking for a used tractor for our new 3 ac. vineyard and we're about to purchase a used, 2006 New Holland TC34DA Boomer Skiploader 4X4 Super Steer that we found and seems to be a good price at $12k including FEL and gannon. Anybody familiar with this model? Any issues we should look for/watch out for? Advice welcome.

Yes, I am very familiar with this model. I just traded my TC34DA in for a Boomer 3040. I think that tractor is very good and powerful. I had that tractor for five year and never had any problems with it. I just traded mine in for a large tractor with more HP. As long as you maintain it, that tractor should last you for years. I have just one maintenance tip. When you change the oil filter, you should change the fuel filter at the same time. The fuel filter and oil filter are close together and it is hard to take the fuel filter off while the oil filter is on.

Thanks, Eagle, for the spot-on information. I have another question if you don't mind; how is the sound level? We've noticed that some tractors are louder than others. We're wondering how this one stacks up. We're buying it long distance and there isn't one nearby to test and hear.

Oh, man, I was out-bid for the tractor. Guess this ends the conversation. Thanks for your help.
