I am totally new in the tractor world… However, I do know what good color is!!!
I just bought the JD790 4x4 30-hp diesel tractor to work my land…

Questions:
I am looking for some accessories and really do not know where to look? Any good www sites?
Is there a place that I could rent the PTO accessories? Such as Home Depot or what ever in the North Dallas area?
Also what is the total torque for my tractor? I looked at the specs and could not find my answer.
Now for the embarrassing question… Some of the accessories completely blew me away… What is the difference between a soil pulverizers and rotary tillers?
Is there a site that can break down the accessories as well as giving comparisons?

Any tractor/ag equipment dealer has or can get any 3 point hitch/PTO accessory (implement) you can imagine. What do you want to do? A rototiller is awful handy for gardening, but not too practical for preparing 40 acres for corn. Hit us with a little more information on your goals, and we can point you in the right direction.

Sorry, can't help with the technical details on a 790.

Some "rent-a-center" type places have 3PH implements to rent.

Rogbo, congrats on your new 790! I've got about 70 hours on mine and love it. Sorry, can't help with the torque. The brochure lists 30 gross hp and 25 PTO hp but no torque. Just curious, why do you want to know the torque? For implement education just follow this site for a few days and you'll learn a lot. For just pictures and names try the Deere site and look under the "equipment quick find". You can also look up the 790 and it will list all the Deere implements that are compatible with a link to each for more detail.

There are also a variety of independant manufacturers and most have very informative web sites. Again, just watch this site for some of the names or check the "links" at the top.

For "accessories", you can again access the Deere site and find the "configurator". Punch in the 790 and it will list all the factory and dealer available accessories such as wheel weights, lights, canopy etc. Once again, many of these items are available through the aftermarket and even local farm supply stores (Tractor Supply, Quality Farm etc.).

In my area (Northern Indiana), NationsRent rents a few three point implements and coincidentally they have a 790 to go with for those who are tractorless.

Hope this helps, and have fun with your 790/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
