This engine starts easily in warm weather with a pull cord. I cannot get it started in 30 degree weather. Do you have suggestions for an engine heater? Do you have suggestions for ether injection? We have an ether injector on our very old Detroit diesel. We just push the button in the cab and the truck starts. Thanks.

Could you put in a warm garage:)

A block heater is not really an option as they are usually connected to the cooling system on a liquid cooled engine. I haven't seen them, but I have heard of magnetic plug-in heating pads you can put on the block of an engine to help warm it up. Another option is a halogen work light put close to the block. Either way, if you warm up both the gasoline and the oil, it should start better.

Ether can be bought in a aerosol can and can be manually injected into the carburetor through the air cleaner. Don't use too much as you can destroy the engine. A half second blast is about all you want to use.
