Acres Magazine

I recently recieved a magazine in the mail from New Holland called Acres. It is the premier issues and my NH dealer signed me up for the subscription. It appears to be aimed at the hobby-farmer, and small land owner who is not cropping their land. NH is obviously publishing the magazine as a brand loyalty & sales tool to promote their brand and to create a feeling of community for their products. And the magazine is actually a pretty nice little magazine.

I never got a magazine from Kubota, nor Cub Cadet, nor Ventrac.

I was just curious if there are other tractor manufacturer sponsored magazines out there? Maybe JD?

Allan. . . what is the purpose of the AGCO magazine? The NH magazine appears to be aimed at building brand loyalty to NH users and to sell current owners genuine NH parts, etc. It is basically oriented to "boomer" owners. Is the AGCO centered on any one of their brands or their whole range of products? Is it farm oriented or focused on small land owners, or something else?

Bob , the AGCO magazine basicly show cases their tractor lines and how real farmers and such use them . Highlights mostly larger ag farmers . speaks of dependability and features of their tractors and implements. It only comes about every other month.

I previously received the New Holland News in the mail, which had articles geared more towards farmers and ranchers. This premier issue of New Holland's Acres Magazine for Innovative Country Living seems geared more toward the city slickers who moved to the country.

Such articles include--
Landscaping your farmstead oasis
Owning a miniature horse
Fish in your backyard pond
Finding the right tractor for the first-time buyer
How to milk a cow

There are a few more articles, sprinkled with New Holland advertisements and recipes too.

I enjoyed reading the articles in the New Holland News. I wonder if the type of New Holland tractor you own decides which subcription you receive?

I got a nice thank-you card from my dealer when I bought my Kubota.

But I marvel at the lack of a color glossy CUT/small farming/rural living magazine at the newsstand, given the apparent market just here at TBN. Muhammed, maybe this could be your next publishing project!

Deere offer the "Furrow" and "Homestead" for the farmer and hobby farmer respectively. Both are also available online.
