Add a PTO pump

Trying to wrap my head around 25 GPM making a splitter cyl with a 12 GPM(?) valve cycle much faster, unless I missed something.

I would think adding large capacity PTO pump it would need to have its own closes loop system with large reservoir and control valves/cylinders .... Probably not going to be at all effective piggybacked on system you already seem to think that is to small.....

Next door has a pull-behind man lift for the orchard. I got a brief look at it when his son was putting up Christmas lights a while back. PTO pump pro'ly OC & IIRC has a reservoir on the chassis a bit smaller than a 10 gal fish tank. Maybe 8 & holds 5? Don't recall seeing a fan or shroud on it, but it's not cycled/worked like with a splitter or chipper & I'd bet it runs at 1500 psi or so vs >2500.

I wonder if a beer-can car radiator might be used as an oil cooler on a fat high volume return line, say vs adapting a car/truck oil/trans cooler with thinner lines & less flow.
