john deere x530
Hey Guys, I got a new x530 and would like to run the deere 48" blade to plow snow. I can raise/lower it using the existing hydraulics for the deck but it does not have additional hydraulics for angling. Anyone know how to make it hydraulic angling? I am not opposed to using an electric/hydraulic setup for angling either. Thanks in advance.

I know nothing about your x530, but basically you'd have to replace the existing 1 function valve with a dual SCV (selective control valve) to obtain two hydraulic circuits. Doubt Deere makes one for your machine so you'd have to shop aftermarket (maybe something like this https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-7862&catname=hydraulic), then deal with the adaptors/fitting you'd need to hook it up. You'd need to run hoses to where ever you want the hook ups for the second function (near the front for a plow). Probably a lot of work for a machine that wouldn't have a lot of room to add dual hydraulics, but it could be done. You may want to find out what PSI and flow your x530 pump puts out.

My guess is an electric actuator would be more economical and a lot less work.

I'm not familiar with the specific model (way too many mixed up model numbers to keep them figured out), but if Deere doesn't have a kit to add the additional dual SCV, I'd suggest serious consideration of "trading up" to one of the older 400 series (425,445, 455) and have the better of both worlds. There are some good lawn tractors with around 500 hours to be found for $3-5k. Even some low hour X585, X595 that are 4wd (later became X700's I think) would make a good move for you.
