This weekend I stopped over to the farm to pick corn to put up in the freezer , figured I would fill the FEL to save time and having to carry all the bags back to the truck .... Well got into the tractor barn and sat down to start her ,,,, no go ... not a click.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Hmmmm
Go to the front of the tractor pull the front grill , touch the battery cable to the ground ..... very very loose .... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
When I saw the posts on the battery problems that have happened on other models I had the dealer check it out and clean up any leakage....
From what I can see the leakage that started was enough to eat through the no lead battery connectors on the top of the battery ...
A quick run to NAPPA for a new ground cable w/ lead termial and a replacement for the positive post side. To replace the ground cable you may want to get an extra hand to hold the nut under the batery pan , even with long arms it is a long reach and with a FEL on just about undoable . I was back up and running in 45 minutes /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Best part is the sweet corn later this winter will be real good ..... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
