Added a multi-mount winch to the RTV

This summer I added a Warn winch and multi-mount set up to the RTV. The winch mounting plate worked fine on the rear receiver but the square receiver tube attached to the winch mounting plate was not long enough to be secured in the RTV's front receiver. I had a receiver plate fabricated at a local welding shop that I then mounted where the winch would normally fit on the RTV. This worked out better because now the winch sits up higher and tighter to the brush guard so I don't have as much of an issue with it hitting the ground on steep approach angles. The quick connects allow me to switch the winch from front to back when needed. Already used it once when mounted on the rear when the front started to slide nose first off a muddy trail down into a ravine. I've attached a few pictures of the multi-mount system mounted on the RTV for anyone whose interested. Installation of the wiring was fairly straight forward.

that's how i have my hpx setup . a word to the wise though it looks like the exhaust is shooting down on youe power wires! that can cause them to over heat and catch fire. one more thing i should add is that for the rear i would get a stepup adaptor fo it . i have noticed that when riding in deep mud that if i was to get stuck my reciver hitch and winch would be underwater and mud luckly i never had to pull from the rear while it was stuck in mud that deep. but you have a nice setup to me a winch that is in a fixed place is really no good to me i done had to use both front and rear already so it done saved me .lol now i just need a bigger winch

Skip- It is a 3000 lb warn. I know some people have raised concerns about the weight of the RTV and having a adequate size winch but I got to good of a deal on it to pass it up.

Tommy- The cables are relatively close to the muffler but I have them zip tied to the frame rail and after several hours of riding they stayed cool. I agree with you on the rear mount sitting too low but I just use the RTV on my property which has no real water to speak of other than a few small creeks and springs. I definitely would have a riser fabricated if I had it around deep water or mud.

3000lb warn is about like a 4000lb venom or viper. I bet it does great~!

my 2500warn did good when i firsdt got my hpx but after all my addon's it is just doin the job now.it still pulls me out if i get stuck but barely i haven't had to use it in a while though i mainly use it for show.lol it looks good mounted to the front. lol

That really looks nice. On my Gator, probably the thing that is most-noticed and complimented is the detachable winch. Everyone hones in on that as a really "cool" ATV/UTV thing. Interestingly though, I almost never use it. Perhaps I should start finding some uses for it.
