crbr,

Here is a pic of the bare carryall frame from the front. Just a plain, garden variety KK carryall.

Gator,

No chains necessary. The carryall is hung from my loader mounted quick hitch.

johndeere4300,

Here is a closeup of the receiver hitch. It came off a junk car and I just cut it down and added angle iron to the ends. It is bolted to the frame.

That's a good looking hitch to come a junk yard... You also did a great job adding the angle iron!

You have a great setup being able to haul your tools, and pulling a trailer.

Thanks for the pictures!

Very nice work, that is a great idea! What kind of electric pole saw do you have?

We've got a fellow here locally that I've bought a couple of stock trailers from and he's got so many bolt in receiver hitches he gives them away to people. The last one I got looked brand new. It was a class 1? I think it's 1-1/2". I cut it down and made a receiver for my 4 wheeler. Sure is nice getting free metal to fabricate with!!

Anyway, back to the thread. Nice carry-all/MIL carrier. Trundle seat comes to mind. I'll give it a thumbs-up even though it is green!!:D:D

mcd176,

Thanks for the compliment.

It is a Remington electric pole saw. I'd rather have a gas one, but they are expensive and I brought this one with me when I moved from "the city".

Anyway, it's easier than a manual "Armstrong" pole saw!

Very - Very nice on the carryall. I also had/have a Remington electric pole saw and wanted to up-grade to a gas pole saw. In my opinion the Remington with a 16 inch bar out cuts the gas Pole saw and is not nearly as loud. The only advantage I can see to the gas pole saw is that when ready to use you do not have to carry a generator or run an extension cord.

Incidentally, I made a frame for the seat out of old bed frame rails to hold everything in alignment and keep the boards from warping. I don't know what kind of steel they use for those things, but it is HARD and BRITTLE.

I had to drill four 1/4 inch holes in the middle piece, and I ruined two drill bits. Neither one could do more than just scratch the paint (and I'd been using them for drilling all the other steel in the project with no problem). Wound up using a die grinder to bore the holes and that took a long time.

Then, after it was welded together and installed, I sat down on it before installing the wood and the rear angle cracked right in the middle (and I'm not that heavy). Anyway, had to weld it back together where it cracked. Weird stuff...
