I have a very small lot and my tractor is mainly used for working my 6000 sq' of garden. Naturally I have lots of backing up to do. I almost go in reverse as much as forward. I wanted to add side mirrors so this is what I came up with. 1987-95 jeep mirrors from eBay, $15. I then fabricated brackets out of 1/4 x 2" flat bar and mounted them to the loader cross beam support using factory bolts. (The bolts were 3/4" longer than they needed to be from the factory).
No my only issue is that the 2 mirrors have different focal lengths. The right one is your typical "objects in mirror are closer than they appear". I may have new glass cut for them if its a problem.

Nicely done! I know what you mean about backing up a lot when working a garden in close quarters.

Thanks!!!

Last year I put a 4' permanent fence around the gardens. These mirrors will really help while backing the tiller right up tight to the fence.

I really need to put a mirror or 2 on my Kioti. This past weekend, I was testing out a bush hog I bought. When I back up, I always turn to my right because it's easier for me to press the clutch turned that way. Somehow, I hurt one of my ribs on my right side because the back of the seat catches me right in the ribs when I turn around. Hurt like heck for a day or 2.

Really nice. Looks like they came with it. Wish I could put some on my 135. I get really close to the tree line when brush cutting and would have to clear a lot of limbs. I mean a lot. Good job. -kid

Looks good, I thought about doing it with my old L3400hst. but I never got around to it.. When We were clearing some land, and the wife was hooking chain on trees, and I was 50 foot away operating the tractor, It gets pretty tiring on your neck, I would have let her drive, but her neck is in much worse shape than mine, she has had several neck surgeries. so any operation where she has to twist around is out.. So I sure understand the need.

I don't know if you have a roof on your tractor, but if you do you may wish to consider this setup http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/customization/246150-whats-my-mirror.html

I don't have any vibration issues and since there are side "gull" mirrors, I get a good overall view behind me.
