I have a 2014 JD 5065E cab with power reverser transmission and a H240 loader. I ordered a Titan Extreme 6' grapple bucket that should be coming later this week. For a nice clean look I went down to my local JD dealer today and ordered a pair of AW31998 hydraulic couplers that will mount on the same plate as the other mid-mount hydraulics. For a temporary solution I am going to simply use my rear remote hydraulics to control the grapple. Plan on saving some money and purchasing ready made hydraulic hoses and aftermarket quick disconnects (except for the pair that I ordered from JD). Seems pretty straight forward to get the 1/2" fittings and hose with 1/2" pipe threads. This will take care of all the connections with the exception of connecting to the JD quick disconnects I ordered today. Does anyone know what type of treads and what size the JD QD fittings are? From the parts manual there are O-rings used, so I thought they were probably SAE straight thread O-ring fittings (I guess there are commonly called ORB for O-ring boss). I found a size chart at discounthydraulichose.com. I took my digital calipers out and measured the fittings on my tractor and the outside measurement of the male threads were right at .800". This is not close to any of the fittings in their handbook, not even the metric conversion which works out to be 20.30 mm. Anyone know what type and size of fitting this is?
Thanks,
Jeff
