I added a 3rd SCV to my JD4310 over the weekend. My dealer wanted $180 to do this and I'd thought I give it a try and save the money. It wasn't that bad but the instructions had a few gaps that side tracked me along the way. The kit came complete and cost $210. I still need to re-install the seat but I'm waiting for a few parts from the dealer before I can do this.
The problem was that during the removal of the seat there were those plastic push pins, also called "christmas trees", to attach the rubber trim piece to the metal brackets. If you ever removed these types of fasteners you'll know they become damaged and lose their ability to "grip" once removed. I could have re-used them but the parts are cheap so I thought I'd do the job right and re-place them. Sorry I didn't get pics along the way but I was concentrating on the job not creating a written project.
Thanks,
Doug
