Has anyone ever done this before with a JD setup? My 2120 has 1 remote at the moment, but I'd like to add a second. How would I go about doing this?

I assume it would be the same process for the 3140. They seem to have similar setups with these valves. I just don't know what parts I would need to start my hunt.

Any advice? Has anyone done this successfully?

The old 2120 and 3140 field tractors built in Mannheim ?
The valve bodies just bolt together but..................................

Any chance that the tractor has a joystick controlled loader with the supply/return line plugged into the SCV? Now you want an open SCV to use? Or you plan to install a loader and plan on using two scv's for control?
The Mannheim and Dubuque Utility tractors have an undersized hydraulic pump that will not keep p with the demands of supplying oil up to the front high pressure pump when loaders, backhoes, log splitters and hydraulic motors are used.
The Deere parts book shows ported transmission filter covers to return oil so prevent chattering, cavitation and slow performance.
The oil from the SCV or the loader not dumped direct back into the transmission sump. Rather to the eventual supply to the front pump via the ported filter cover.

Far better to supply a loader or backhoe etc to a "T" in the high pressure hydraulic line that supplies the existing SCV. Then return via the ported filter cover.

Hey Neighbour!

You are correct, both of them are build in Mannheim. I still run them full time, its all I got.

The 2120 has a loader & joystick with the return dumping back into the transmission filter housing. The 3140 doesn't have a loader so that transmission housing still has the plug in it.

I'd want to add a 2nd remote so that it can be used to operate the boom on a sprayer or tucking the haybine into road travel mode. Few things I have are equipped for 2 remotes and it just becomes a pain having to hop off the tractor, switch the lines, lower a boom or move the haybine over and then have to switch back into the next field to do the reverse.

So I can simply add another valve body and plum in the pioneer fittings?
