After mowing today with Dad's B7200HST equipped with a 60" belly mower, I forgot how nice a mid mount mower is!
It looks as though my B6100E was equipped with a MMM at one point. There are several brackets and rods on the bottom, a large bracket in the rear that sits between the two rear tires, and a switch on the console to engage the front PTO.
From what I understand, the B6100Es weren't equipped with a mid mount PTO, but rather a splined output on the crankshaft that I assume was engaged by a magnetic clutch of some sort, since it's an electrical switch that engages it.
How universal are the mid mount mowers offered by Kubota? would a later model mower fit on my machine?
I have seen several units with a Woods brand MMM. I wouldn't mind converting this little tractor to a mid-mount, but I'm afraid I'd end up with more money in it than it's worth. I would imagine most of the parts for the front PTO are obsolete or out of production.
Has anyone sucessfully added a MMM to one of these little tractors with the PTO shaft coming off the front crank pulley???
