I have a 3560LE on order and would like to add the lighter that is missing (from what I understand the wiring harness is there).

Has anyone done this? I looked at the Messicks online parts diagram for the regular 3560 and it shows the lighter but no part number for it.

Thanks

Aren’t the wires under the left fender. You might have to free the connectors from a wire harness.

You are probably thinking of the other spare 12v plug on most Kubotas on the left. I'm pretty sure the 3560le is only a cabbed machine & on the cabled Grands the cigarette lighter outlet is on the right.

Unless you're actually lighting tobacco, that is a horrible connection.
Many things come with 2 wire Hopkins connectors now, and they are easy to add, and work so much better than spring loaded, center pin, 'hope the sides make' connectors.

Amazon.com : hopkins 2 pin

Make the 'hidden' red the hot on supply, and let it hang free.

I change what I need on purchase, and have my cars/truck/tractor's batteries (Tenders) and accessories set up for these.

Same here with the Hopkins connectors. I have on on my tractor which makes a great easy quick connection to my battery maintainer. Don't even need to raise the hood. Just plug and go. Same setup with all of my trailer emergency brake battery, mowers and motorcycles. Cigarette lighter type power outlets always seem to corrode up in short order.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

Agree cigarette lighters can be a pain; I just like the idea of using a built in mount in the tractor to securely plug my phone into for charging using stock wiring.

My land is pretty bumpy, so I don't like having things hang loose in the tractor (although that could also be a good argument against using a cigarette lighter with a push in phone charger adapter).

Re the Hopkins connectors: are you guys splicing them into the Kubota wiring? I'm comfortable doing that, but prefer to use factory connections when I can.

https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/customization/323625-accessory-plug-kubota.html talks about that plug under the left fender. Later in the thread I posted a link to the connector used. No splicing required. I'm perfectly capable of splicing into an OEM harness as well, but prefer to not & use OEM connectors as well. I hard wired a USB port into mine when I put in overkill wiring.

On the cabbed Grands the "under the left fender" plug is in the cab behind the pillar over the left fender. To remove the pins holding the trim on just push the center of the in in a few mm. Easy to see how they work when they are out, but not so much if you haven't pulled them before.
