Kubota B3300SU
I think I want to add cruise control to my new B3300SU to allow me to use differential brake steering. Can y'all let me know what's involved with that and what I should expect it to cost? I just would like some idea about it before I approach my dealer.

I believe B9331 is the kit part number. There is one on eBay for $149. I had it installed when I purchased mine and I think it was a little over $90. Do a web search with the part number and you may find some more info.

gks,
My dealer added mine on for no charge. You might want to ask.

You won't be able to use the brake with the cruise because the brake disengages the cruise.

I think the kit was $35 plus installation in February 2012 when I bought my B3300SU.

Kuboman is correct, touching the Kubota cruise control disengages the cruise.

Kuboman and Jeff,

I read elsewhere on this forum that using both break pedals together will disengage the cruise control but using only one break pedal would not. Does that sound right to you guys? If not, how do I differential brake?

I'm not sure which brake disengages the cruise, I would have to check mine. As for differential braking you need to use your left foot if you are flexible enough:). Otherwise you don't. If you had a GL series you can because it's cruise is all electronic.

I've thought about this same thing, split brakes are a wonderful thing when you know how to use them properly. I've been pondering some extensions to the pedals that I could run them with my right hand which would allow better speed control than cruise as your foot would still be on the pedal. Anyone done this before?

Sorry, I sold the B3300SU in order to buy an L3560.

In the two years and 400 hours I used the B3300SU I never disengaged the dual brake latch.

There's a lot you can do with the machine when you can use down pressure in the FEL. Of course that takes your steering away because the front axle comes up. Thus the need for differential brake steering. Kubota clearly saw the use of this in the B3300SU because they gave it two brake pedals.
