I know this has been covered to some degree elsewhere but I need some specific information as it pertains to my tractor, a 2815 hst. I have the rear remotes. I am looking at adding a front grapple. I can plumb the grapple to the rear remotes but what I would like to do is add another hydraulic circuit for just the grapple. I don't want it to be a choice of either curl or grapple so the selector valve kit is out. I would just use the rear remotes.

Here is the question, can I use the WRLong electric over hydraulic kit to do what I want?

Valve Kits

Is there another kit or parts that would do what I want?

If this or others would work, How would I need to hook it up?

Thank you for the assistance

The WR Long kit will be perfect. Search the term "3rd function" in the hydraulic section.

Just got off the phone with wrlong. He said the kit will not work with my loader. There are only 2 loaders that it won't work with and I have 1 of them. According to him, the only thing they have that will work is the selector valve (which I don't want to do). So, I guess I will be using the rear remotes.

OK, so you can still do it, but you will have to source the parts yourself. Take a picture of your loader and valve, and count how many hoses connect to it. If you have 7 total-them we can get you setup...as long as you are handy with a wrench;)

I will have to take the valve cover off and look. He said the reason was that there is a 3/8 piece of steel blocking access to the ports.

HHMMMM...That could definitely be a showstopper-just depends how handy you are, what tools you have, and how much fabrication you can do. The port you are interested in is the one marked "PB" for PowerBeyond.

Basically, you would remove that line (it probably goes toward the rear of the tractor to feed the 3PH) and put it on the OUT port of the new valve, then a short hose from the loader valve PB port to the IN of the new valve.

I have been satisfied with the rear remotes plumbed to the front for my grapple. The only problem I had was hooking up due to my connectors being just plastic tied on. I could not hook them up alone even though I thought I had properly drained off the pressure when dropping the grapple.

keenyd (thanks much) advised me about the pressure increase from warm hydraulic fluid. After that, I kept my grapple in the shade and it was easy to make the hydraulic connections. Though I should one day make a bracket for the disconnects I suppose as time allows.

I spent the better part of a month cleaning up tops, etc. from logging around the parimeter of my property prior to doing some fencing. Now, the grapple only sees occasional use as time allows me to clean up trails, etc. Anyway, I suppose if I used the grapple everyday for a business or whatever, another type of setup would be nice but for occasional use, a couple of hoses don't cost all that much.

Yeah... you are probably hosed on plumbing to your loader valve... pun intended... I am not 100% sure it is impossible though.... Did he give an explanation as to why it could not be done with that valve aside from the steel? I am not sure how they normally plumb their kits in. I know there is not much room under that valve cover, but a power beyond kit IS available so there is SOME room...

He said it "could" be done but the plate was going to have to be cut off and holes drilled. He said that the work involved wasn't going to be in line with the simplicity of his other kits and would just recommend the selector valve.

Do you carry a PB kit for it?

I might have one put together.... All it consists of is a plug and a hose or two I think... I will try and open the valve kit link later and look at what they are doing with them. I am clueless as to how they WANT to plumb it in.
