I think I remember someone posted a picture on here of how they added an additional shutoff valve down near the carburetor on the 4 cyl gas engine. What is the best way to do this? I have a 2000 gas with a sediment bowl on the carb connected with banjo type fitting.

In the mean time I'll try to repair one of the used under-tank shutoffs I have lying around. I don't like to always turn it off under the tank because eventuallly the o-ring starts to leak gas.

Don't know how particular you are about staying "original", but have you considered an inline solenoid shutoff? I put one on an old 430 case that was prone to flooding the engine with gas for no particular reason. Numerous needle and seat replacements never seemed to be enough. The valve was wired to ignition circuit, so it opened when ignition was on. Problem solved.
