Yes. It's easy to do, but a little spendy. I was quoted around $2100. more for hydraulic feed. To me, it's been worth it. All the hydraulics are mounted on the feed hopper, which is attached to the chipper housing with 2 bolts, just like the self feed models. As you probably know, the hydraulics are run from the remotes on the tractor. The flow control lever is located on the main valve body, which allows the dual feed rollers to turn at infinitely variable speeds. On my BX42, the hyd. hopper added about 200 lbs., making it 625 lbs. I would imagine the additional weight on your BX62 would be similar.....Dan.
What Dan said.......... the difference is all in the hopper, which is a bolt-on operation. When I was pricing it out, I think I was quoted about $2500 for the change-over. But, $2100 ....... $2500, what;s the difference.
