Iseki TX1510
I have an Iseki TX1510 which as you will know has no included rear hydraulics. It has a front end loader installed with joystick control etc

How would I go about adding some rear hydraulics?

I would ideally like to run a log splitter and possibly a post driver or would it be simpler to buy a pto driven hydraulic pump?

I'm not stupid but not as mechanically minded perhaps as most folk on here so explanations in words of one syllable would be gratefully appreciated!!

Is the loader a factory when new with a new tractor or an aftermarket add on?

I assume you have a working 3 pt hitch.....

Where does the 3 pt hitch get its hydraulic supply.

Does your existing FEL valve have 6 or 7 hoses?

The key here is does your FEL have have provision for a power beyond sleeve or plug.

Look at the details on this link which will help you understand power beyond's physical parts

When you answer the # of FEL hoses, it will confirm a lot. An aftermarket FEL will likely have 6 hoses. A supply, a return to the reservoir and 4 for the lift arms and bucket,

With the power beyond feature, you now have 7 hoses. The extra hose ( the power beyond hose) is used to feed another new control valve on the rear of your tractor.
This control valve can have one or two independent circuits for two rear remotes.

A suggestion, buy a new FEL valve which has the power beyond feature. Use the existing FEL valve to control two rear remotes.

But do this only after we fully understand your tractor's hydraulics.

Make sense?

I'd recommend going to a PTO driven hydraulic pump in the 8-10 gpm @ 2000 psig range if you are planning to use auxiliary hydraulic systems on a regular basis. The factory pump flow is somewhere around 3 gpm and the relief valve is set to anywhere from 1700 psig to 1900 psig according to the information I can find. This delivers around 3 hp (2.2 kW) of available power at rated engine speed and hydraulic pressure. Not really a lot to work with for a wood splitter but it will function, just as your loader does but probably not quite as quickly as you would like. Keep in mind the design of this tractor was mainly tailored to run a tiller or mower. Nothing really beyond the 3-pt for hydraulics. Of course adding a separate, higher volume pump would ideally involve adding a another hydraulic oil reservoir too so this is something else to consider.

To add to my earlier post, it becomes a question of how many $ you want to invest in your machine.

Splitting wood using your tractor is impractical. A gas engine splitter will be faster since it will have a dual speed pump to produce faster stroke times. Adding wear on your tractor engine rather than a cheap gas engine makes no economic sense to me.

If you want to pound posts, what style of post? T posts or wood fence posts. T posts or up to 3" round steel post, a light gas engine post pounder will be economical and fast. The one in this link appears to be a serious one, there are much cheaper twp stoke engine types.

TITAN GAS POWERED 4 STROKE POST DRIVER

For wood post of 6" diameter approximately, you need to have a higher hydraulic flow than your tractor can produce. However, the gas engine log spliiter I recommend has the hydraulics all that you need for post pounding. A control valve, a reservoir ..... Mount the pounder to the 3 pt hitch to control it. Use the strategy I proposed earlier to to provide rear remote(s) which can use a hydraulic top link to move the pounder tilt.

The long stroke of post pounders for wood need high flow hydraulics. The company can provide their pounder with a 9 hp gas engine driving a pump and with a reservoir. If you already have a gas engine splitter, buy the pounder without either pto drive or engine drive.

Farm King- Post Driver

I am here to continue to offer advice as you make the decisions.

Many thanks Dave for your response and yes all clear thank you. The FEL is an add on being a Bulldog 182 I think and has 6 hoses as you rightly say one to the pump one to the reservoir
and the rest to the FEL rams. Getting compact tractor bits in the Uk is somewhat of a nightmare so if you or anyone else has any suggestions for a supplier I'd be most grateful even if it means 'importing'
I did try and attach a coup[le of images but its not playing ball....

many thanks for your helpful response; yes the hydraulics on the tractor are very slow.....with hindsight and more cash and knowledge I would have bought something more powerful HP wise!!

Thanks again wish wee could get the Farm King type post driver you mention in the UK; the Gas powered ones we can thank you Amazon amongst others.....

I sent you a private message with an email address for a guy in France whom I helped get hydraulics added to his Chinese tractor.
He was buying his parts from the UK. .Hopefully he can direct you to the company

Dave my apologies I have just checked and there are in fact 7 hoses attached to the fel control which appears to be a 'Dakon' on the control there is a T and a P which looks like they go to the Tank and Pump respectively (which is logical)theres also a pipe which starts off as a flexible pipe then becomes a steel? one that I think goes to 'power' the 3ph. There is also a 'plug' in the bottom of the unit so I don't know what that is for or could be for
