I figured I would make a post to show how I added lights to my Max 26 and the parts I used. I will admit that the ideas and some of the pieces are from ideas I found on here and on youtube. Where I can remember I will give credit to those sources that I pulled from. This all started with a gift from my wife of a 12" nilight light bar and a wiring harness. I do have a background in DC wiring so it is my comfort zone. I have been watching a ton of videos and will credit "A Ritter bit will do" and "Paul and Kathy Short" both Youtubers on the idea of a 2nd fuse panel. I purchased a Fastronix 4 fuse panel from Amazon and drilled and tapped a spot for it on the drivers side under the kick board. I will credit "5 Year Plan" a Youtuber for accessing the kick board and for the Nilights used. In trying to source a main fuse and wiring to go from the battery to the added fuse panel I found a lot of wire on Amazon but for my price point all of the wire seemed to be copper clad aluminum. Going back to my younger years crutchfield crossed my mind. I looked at amp kits and found that they have their own branded oxygen free wire kits. It was about $30 but it came with 10 awg wire, some wire loom and a mini-ANL fuse and holder. I mounted the fuse by the Master fuse which I drilled and tapped. I used precaution when drilling since it was close to a line (hydraulic cooler?). I had posted a bit earlier of an electrical issue I was having and the dealer recommended changing out the battery terminals. I found InstallGear makes a set of battery terminals made again and marketed mostly for car audio. I will warn you the negative terminal will need to use the supplied shims. I wasn't having much luck with the shims so I decided to use a simpler terminal for the negative terminal. The positive terminal made separating out the battery connections individually a breeze given there was 4 separate set screws to connect the wiring. This however did not fix my ongoing issue with starting. I purchased some more wire loom, heat shrink, another Nilight wiring harness and (4) 4" Nilight flood lights. I mounted 2 switches on the drivers side lower smooth portion of the dash panel. This was a bit tricky and I used a dremel and files to get the cutting done. I credit Paul Short for idea of using a file to get the holes the right size. The holes may be a bit bigger than I would like. I haven't got it put together completely yet so I will wait for the complete reassembly for judgement on that. As for mounting the light bar and lights I am using an idea I found on here from user jambx. I picked up my county line stake pockets at tractor supply. The install is a work in progress and I still have the tractor in pieces. I will post some pics along the way to the finish line.
