Kubota L 3600. Front loader, box, ARPS back hoe. To get power to the backhoe I have to seperate a QD below loader controls. When BH is hooked up I loose 90% of power to bucket & 3 pt hitch plus it drops oil all over brake pedals. What is needed to put the connection to the rear of the tractor and not loose power to other.:confused::confused.

You need a power beyond kit. Not specific to your tractor it typically lets you disconnect the line running from the loader valve to the 3ph and direct the flow through the backhoe valve. It should also include a third, low pressure, return line from the backhoe valve to the tank.

You will probably also have to add a power beyond adapter to the backhoe valve. Baum Hydraulics had the power beyond adapter for the Greshen valve set on my ARPS backhoe.

With a power beyond configuration all hydraulic functions e.g. for the loader are retained.

A second option is to install a rear remote valve. This would need to be a power beyond valve in other words when it is not actuated the flow passes through to the next valve and when it is actuated the exhaust flow goes to the low pressure return.

If you run the backhoe from a rear remote valve the backhoe valve itself does not need to be plumbed for power beyond. Any valves downstream of the remote valve will be disabled while the valve is actuated since all flow is diverted to the remote's low pressure return.

If you FEL valve has PB, then feed the FEL PB output to the BH, and the BH feeds the 3pt. If the FEL valve does not have PB, then I would suggest cutting and extending the hose from the FEL to the back using a male and female QD. In normal operation, the QD at the back is coupled together, and everything works normally. To use BH, uncouple the QD's and connect to the BH. The output from the BH will feed the 3pt.

You could also install a new FEL valve with PB and add rear remotes. As long as everything is in series, fluid will flow and work can be done.

I think what you are doing wrong is you are connecting the pressure hose from the pump to the BH, before the FEL valve. In that situation, the BH valve becomes the priority valve, and when using the BH, you will have very little fluid for anything else, as the output of the BH valve cyl fluid is the only working fluid.

Fluid path should be like this. Pump, FEL, BH, 3pt, tank/reservoir.

Disconnecting QD's should not be messy, so where do you think the fluid on the brake pedals is coming from.

Who did the plumbing on it, you or dealer?

Sorry for late reply. Went to SD for a month. Bought from private party already plumbed. Fluid on pedals comes from quick dis. what is FEL?

CSH1948,
[ When BH is hooked up I loose 90% of power to bucket & 3 pt hitch ]

Hyd power is developed when the fluid is used by a cyl or motor to do work. If there are no leaks, then the hyd system can develop full power using the fluid that the the hyd pump can provide.

FEL = Front End Loader

You should not lose any fluid capacity when all the valves are connected correctly. The first valve upstream has priority. If only the BH valve is in operation, it can/should have full power. If you try and operate two valves at the same time, the first valve up stream will dictate how much fluid is available to anything downstream.

I should have been more clear. They only make a mess when I disconnect them to hook up the BH and it just happens to be above the pedals.
Without using any controls on the BH the FEL still has limited power.

Is the 3pt lever in neutral when operating anything else?

How are the valves plumbed, in order?

Are all the QD's functional?

Have you did a PRV check for system pressure?

Is it speed of operation or power the problem?

If one or both of the QD's are jammed, that will cause some of your problem, as the fluid can not flow properly.

Can you provide us with some pressure and flow readings?

If Your FEL valve has the hex screw in the PB port, check that it is secure. If it is loose, it will divert a lot of the fluid to the tank. However, the FEL valve should work to full power, if it is first inline, and the return hose to the back/tank are not blocked
