Adding rear remotes to 08 JD 4520

Good afternoon, long story short I am still on the hunt for a good used tractor. I have found a nice JD 2008 4520 with 700 hours, my main issue is it dosnt have rear remotes. How hard and what is a ball park price to add rear remotes so I can add a grapple? Also what is the cost to get a skid steer quick attach adapter?

kittyhawk there should be some after market options but do not expect them to be cheap because I just did this with our 1966 Ford 3000 so I could power the one arm 711 FEL of that era. I found a 2 spooner option from that era with four new hoses with connectors for $1000. After market options were $700-$1400. Mine was repainted in the post 2000 Ford blue I now have to repaint it with the 65-99 year blue but it is OEM which was a goal of mine.

Most of these tractors from that era have a 3rd scv kit for them. Unfortunately JD stops selling the kits after so long then just sells the individual parts which is a lot more expensive. I suggest going to JD parts and finding the part number for the kit and pricing it out. You can usually find them on ebay from time to time or off a salvage tractor.
I think there a usually in the 300 to 400 range. Usually the tractor valve is already there part of the loader valve and you just need to add the lines and lever. A lot of people also make their own lines and levers as you will find several threads here on that.

I have a 2013 4720 that I just got and it had no rear remotes. The only hydraulic valves on mine were the 2 valves for the loader. I think that your tractor, being a couple of years older, has the 2 valves for the loader AND one additional valve. You will need to add the lines and connections to make the additional valve functional. Then, JD sells a kit that includes hoses and steel lines that you connect to the new rear remotes and then the lines and hoses run up front to the loader so you can connect a grapple. The hose kit is BW 16139 and is about $450. The kit to make the 3rd SCV functional is listed on the JD Parts website. It is under the hydraulics section and which kit you need depends on serial number and whether or not you have a cab. Your dealer should be able to help.

Looking at jd parts it looks like some had the 3 valve. It looks like the 3rd valve is electric solenoid control. Either need to ask the dealer if they can look up howbeit was built by the SN or need to look in at where the valve is to see what you have.

The Skid Steer Quick Attach adapters are BW15244 and they cost $667. You pull the pins and take off the JD adapters that are currently on the end of the loader arms and put on the SSQA adapters. Easy to do. I put a set on my 4720 since I already had a set of forks and bucket and both are SSQA. The JD units are nicely made and work well, just a little pricey.

I have 1 rear remote, I priced another one and the cost with parts and labor was around $2000.00.
Guess I don't need them that bad.

I wanted to mount one front remote for grapple and one rear remote for pull behind box scraper. My John Deere dealer is having very hard time assembling parts together. Can you explain in detail the parts required and install location. You can email if the details are lengthy. The LVB26032 appears to be a good match. My SN:LV4520H550238
