Adding ROPS work light to a 2310

I need to add a work light (or two) to my 2310. I was thinking about two lights attached to the ROPS, facing both front and rear.

I've read about folks using steel plates and square U bolts, but not sure where to find the material I'll need. And the bigger question is how to hook up the electrical connection.

I was thinking I could get the power feed by splicing in to the rear lights, but then the question is where to put the switch?

Seems like there are a lot of these tractors out there, so I wondered if someone had suggestions - and pictures? - that would help.

Funny you should ask because I just got done with that exact project tonight. Everything I needed was available at HomeDepot/Lowes.

The part that made this project a HUGE help is that the machine is pre-wired for this. There is a work_light wire (Red wire with Black stripe) running to the rear. Hard to see, had to remove backhoe to find it. But it's there, just above 3ph. It's hanging there, has a bullet type connection end.

By the fusebox under the hood there is a 20 AMP fuse box (ashamed to say that it took me nearly 1/2 hour to find this **** wire in there) that this wire is coming out of. Not a lot of room in there. I cut into this and ran to a switch (new purchase) to the dash. Just above the hazard switch in the dash there is already a hole pre drilled for a switch. You just have to cut a small hole in the overlay.

The lights I bought needed to be grounded, so I ran to the same grounding point as rear running lights. You can feed the wires up inside the ROPS, following the wiring for the hazards.

I then ran the wire along side the ROPS to the lights, but the look bothered me. So, ran the wiring up through the ROPS and drilled 2 small holes to run the wires to the lights.

Not a lot of steps and not too much cash. Spent about 50 bucks and about 3 hours. Finding those wires and running it SOUNDS easy : )

Will need:
Lights
Switch
Primary wire (Red & Black)
Electrical Table
Wire connectors
U-Clamps
Plastic tubing (put on u-clams for snug fit)

I'll snap some pics in daylight, but you should be able to find the same pics that inspired me if you query for "Lights Switch" in the forum.

Thanks all. Guess I should have spent more time searching the forum before posting a new thread - thanks for giving me some slack on that oversight.

I found the lights at TCS, and will swing by Lowe's to get the right square bolts and rubber tubing. I haven't been able to find the right type of switch, yet. I'd like to get one just like the 4 way flasher switch. I suppose I could get one from the dealer, but that would probably double the cost of the project.

Any other suggestions?

I got my switch from TSC it is just like the flasher switch. If you look farther down on Ray2310 thread you will see my setup. The lights are attached to the flasher bracket and I have added a guard around them.
