Had posted this in attachments, but, is probably more suitable in Customization . . .

Anyone taken a standard 3pt blade and added a cylinder to tilt it?

I have a Woods RB72 and it has only 3 tilt positions (1 horizontal, 1 each port and starboard - there are enough of angle positions though) which are only accidently what you need when you are trying to grade a bevel. It looks like you could attach a fitting to the top of the main frame that would swivel (for when the blade was reversed) and another on the moldboard. You would then attach a cylinder between the two fittings and hook into rear remotes. Looks like it would work, but perhaps someone here has done this. Any suggestions?

The idea is to be able to bevel a piece of ground at varying angles, say starting at 10-15 degrees and gradually increasing to say 25-30 degrees or whatever. Adjusting the 3pt crank lift manually as you go along is not practical as you'd have to stop, adjust, move a bit, stop, adjust, etc. Literature for larger blades shows them built that way, but are too big (and too expensive) for my use. Replacing the crank lift (for the lower lift arm on the 3pt) might work, but would affect every other implement, probably wouldn't have enough range, and, could alter 3pt with engine off (leak-down in the cylinder).

So, has anyone taken a standard 3pt blade and added a cylinder to tilt it?
