I would like to add some weight to my landscape rake and back blade. They are both woods as listed below.

There is the welded-on pipe used for the stand...can this be converted to hold a rod onto which standard barbell weight can be added?

Thanks

A pipe or rod can be welded onto the back blade or rake frame to hold standard barbell weights. Or you could make a weight box and attach it to the rake / blade to put weights into.

Found these steel weights at the dump, looks like they came from one of those semi pro exercise machines, they must weigh close to 80 lbs each, made a steel mounting plate to hold them and can be all removed, nothing welded to the frame. Really makes the blade scrape down good, havn't found any ice that it wont tear up!
Originaly I wanted the weight to help when back blading over my gravel areas, helps keep the plow from riding up on top of the snow.
