Additional wiring for multiple accessories

I have just added a cab to my John Deere 770. It came with additional front lights, strobe, wiper and heater. There is a switch box and right now I have it powered directly to the battery with 10ga wiring and a fuse. This works but I would prefer to not have this hot all the time. What should I used to isolate the power to work with the key on. Secondly, do any of these additional draws require a relay?.

The wiring that it came with had a solenoid with 2 heavy lugs and one lighter duty (I believe power from fuse box) but I never saw just what anything was attached to.

that solenoid was your relay ,your heavy battery wire runs thru the relay to the switch box and a smaller "trigger" wire will cause the curcuit to close in the relay sending power to your cab. The trigger wire to the small post on the relay can come from any location that is on when your main ign switch is turned on. That large wire should be protected with a breaker or maxifuse.

So I put the solenoid in line of my heavy wire and trigger it from a hot side of a key on fuse.

The key switch wire to the trigger is already fuse protected. The large wire direct from the battery to the load side of the solenoid needs to be fuse protected

I have a fuse on the heavy wire near the battery. Trick now is finding a place to mount the solenoid. Appaarently there was more room on the 790 than there is on my 770 John Deere.
