Adjustable Draft links for a 970 ?

Has anyone seen adjustable draft arms for John deere 870, 970, 1070?
What I want are ones that slide in and out to help when hooking up a mower or box scraper ect. Not a quick hitch.

I think that Kubota and New Holland have them. I called my John Deere dealer and they could not find any.

They may be available as an optional item, not as standard equipment. I purchased mine as an option on my 4710. I've also heard other posters say here in the forums the same thing your dealer is saying....that they are not available. Others have said they are able to purchase them. You may want to cross-check by calling around to other dealers to see if they could confirm one way or the other. Also, check JD's pricing configurator on their website to see if this is available as an optional purchase item.

I do recall some talk about after market JD but the parts guy could not find them.

I am having problems with the JD web sight as fare as the options page for the 990. The 990 would use the same arms I think.

Good to see another NW person out here. I live in Ravensdale (very close to you). The JD website is acting up today as I was searching for an answer to your question and it kept throwing me out. Did you buy your tractor at Sumner Tractor. I have been in there numerous times and those guys seem to know alot. What do you think of them?

In the attachment you can view the two telescoping draft link ends. The top levers will pop up a bit and the ends then extend about 7-8".

I do not buy from Sumner tractor unless I have to, Green paint is expensive enough with out buying it their.

I have had the same problem with the JD Web sight I will try it on monday.

That is what I am looking for thank you for posting the photo. I will try to see if they have them for a 4700 and see how differnt they are.

Well I went down to my local John Deere dealer Saturday and they don't make adjustable draft links for 870, 970, 1070, 990 they do make them for 4700.

They don't know about any after market builder that build them either. So I guess I will have to look at making some my self.
