I have a Kubota L Series with these adjustment holes between the lower links and lift arms:

The manual explains what holes to use with the top link and why but makes no mention of these. Where should I have these set and why? Thank you.

The two holes in the vertical link simply change the range of lift height for different implements. The hole to the right in the lower link will increase the lift weight capacity at the expense of range.

Edit: At least I think there is a hole to the right in the second pic.

Looks to me that the various holes in the linkage merely gives you range of lift and differential between the two lower arms. Only one of the lift links have a screw adjuster .. right ?

As npalen says, it really just adds adjustment to your range of lift. I had to change what holes I was using for my post hole digger, otherwise it wouldn't lift the auger completely off the ground. It is the only time I ever touched them. Then I just left them there. If you ever needed more side tilt on your implement you could also adjust one side higher than the other. Might be handy if blading a roadside ditch.

The higher hole = higher lift. Default/standard adjustment are the highest holes.

If you want to tilt a Box Blade, use the center hole on the left. (Alternatively you can shorten adjustment on the right Lifting Rod, but that puts considerable stress on Lifting Rod adjuster threads, which can strip. )

Often with cultivating implements you need to use lowest hole on right/left to get cultivating tines into the dirt the depth you desire.

.....or if you need to tilt a 3pt plow more than the plow allows.
