For $900 I'd go the 2610 personally.

To me it would be worth the extra $ to get the 2610. It has the added powder steering and overrun clutch. Even though I thoroughly enjoy my 1700, if I had it to do all over again I would have upgraded to a model like this one. Being almost 70 years old I am finding that any extra amenities are a plus.

With this in mind, Fredricks does not charge any tax if they deliver out of state. They also have FREE SHIPPING if delivery is within 500 miles of dealership. The amount that you save in taxes practically makes up for the difference in the 2310D and the 2610D. These are wonderful perks and they could make a huge difference in deciding which model tractor you would want to purchase.
