Aerial photos online

I have used various online driving directions in the past, with limited success. Whenever I got to the car rental agency, they usually had a better approach. I recently made a trip from Binghamton NY to Newark NJ, to pick-up my tractor and equipment. MapQuest provided perfect directions to the Customs Broker, St. George Warehouse, and the return trip. Glad it was correct, with a 24' diesel truck, didn't want to be figuring out the way, on the streets of Newark.

PS: Used both services to get airials of our place, my dad's, and our place in the Adirondaks. Very cool! Much better than running down to the local office and paying for hard copy.

Hi Warren
Thanks for Canadain the link - looks a tad more complex that the Mapquest Aerials - and a lot more costly. (I think most things connected to the federal government are being done on what they call a 'cost recovery' basis these days.)

I sent Mapquest an e-mail asking if they were contemplating photos for Canada similar to the U.S. shots and got what looked like a canned response saying it was worthy of future consideration. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Perhaps if more Canadians requested these aerail shots, Mapquest would see it as a "business decision"
