affordable 870 headlight?

I broke my left headlight. I do not know where so I cannot find the plastic to glue it back together. JD catalog shows the whole light bar at $155. All I need is the left headlight. Has anyone found a way to trick the JD catalog? The counter guy mentioned that he has seen individual parts, then a kit, then individual parts but now it is stuck on the whole shooting match. Frustrated me as I have seen a price for a 4000 tractor at $40 or so which is a price I like.

It's the beauty of owning green. They have it , you want it, and guess who pays the inflated prices ? I still think their machines are quality but attachment and replacement parts are out of a persons range. If you want the tractor to look normal... bite the bullet and pay the price. Used parts are seldom found and if they were priced reasonable a financial wizzard would resell it for profit if he knew what he was looking at.
JD has a good game going and it is no where near the top of the nineth.

Part 45. If you look at the online catalog you can choose 45 or 47 and they cite the same light bar item which looks like the whole shooting match in the box. I guess that if I want to keep it pretty I will pay $155.

JimRB, Have you tried eBay? I don't see any now but keep watching and you will find one.

I have tried Ebay and Google with no luck. I will keep looking. I had a temper tantrum today and bought a new Stihl 250 chainsaw. My 25+ year old Carftsman/Poulan was giving me fits with starting. New chainsaw is much smoother with some antivibration mounts. In any event I need to put that headlight to the back burner unless I find a "deal." That saw was on the wish list for the past two weeks but I was hoping that I could get the old saw to start when I want. New gasket kit and fuel line did not help.

I am also looking for a deal on a 5' scrape blade. I see one I want at the dealer in the weeds. No one there to answer price. An old Bushhog brand with serated adjustments. Looks like an expensive system that they no longer use. I do not have enough use for a blade to buy a new one.
