Tractor
Kioti Ck30 Hst , John Deere L130
Just got back from the kioti dealer, what a beautiful machine..Test drove it, no need to look further.. Ive looked extensively at the 30hp tractor class for the past year. Went to syracuse 2 weeks ago to see the kubota B3030, and the L3130, and New Holland TC33 , Kioti wasnt there for what ever reason. These were the tractors i liked best. So i had to go see the Kioti to make my final decision. Couldnt believe all the extra things i got with the kioti. Brush guard, block heater, tilt steering, tilt seat, hour meter and all the other bells and whistles..I liked the k130 loader but loved the woods 1012 loader they carried as well. The dealer told me this loader was capable of lifting over 1500 lbs. In a earlier post i wasnt sure how that was accomplished but he told me it was because the kioti puts out several hundred pounds more pressure then what the woods loader ran at.. Not exactly sure what he meant...hehe But anyway, also ordered the toothbar and ballast box.. The credit dept is closed today.(sat) so the dealer will call me Mon. morning and if all goes well, should get the tractor next weekend... Matt

Posted this as another reply:

Glad to hear you made up your mind.
What happened to you is what happened to me (and I'm sure many, many others). As soon as I saw and tried out my CK20, the search was over. You just can't beat what your getting for the price, i.e. fit/finish, standard vs. options etc. Keep us posted. Gerard

They did have a good weekend! I had narrowed my choices down to a Kubota L3400, or a Kioti CK 30. I liked the CK 30, but there is only one "local" (within 100 miles) dealer. Because there are 3 local Kubota dealers I was kind of leaning that way; but 2 of them didn't didn't have a L3400 in stock and the sales department at the third didn't return my call. My wife and I went up to test drive the Kioti; and while I was working on his dirt dirt pile with the FEL; the dealer talked my wife down to the CK25 because the FEL specs are identical, and for a 60" field mower on our local brush the extra horse-power wouldn't be noticed. My wife and I were gonna go home and talk about it; but we never made it out of the parking lot. Take delivery on Thursday! But he took us out to see "our" tractor still on the pallet.

I-da-ho

Congratulations and welcome to the pack! The 25's and 30's are awesome machines. Came out not long after I got my CK20 TLB, but I have no regrets in not waiting. You and your wife are gonna love it. Post some photos when it arrives. Gerard

Hey Matt
As 98 TBS seems to have found out -the WIFE is key /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I took mine to the dealers several times. When we found the dealer we just purchased from, she actually got more seat time than I did. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As she has a bad knee (can no longer clutch) HST was the answer. I also made sure the dealer spent more time talking with her and answering questions as I walked about the lot. It worked. By the time we left, she was talking about the things SHE could do. That was last Aug and many, many conversations ago about budget, attachments, budget, tasks, budget. When we made the deal last week, we were $2300 over my budget, but my dear, sweet, loving wife was not willing to give up any attachments. Sooooo, in a matter of days, not only will I have a wonderful wife, but also a very nicely equiped CK30. I am truly blessed /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Perhaps I should also mention, that several years ago, upon returning from inspecting prospective properties in FL, she remarked, " I just don't know why we are looking in Florida when you always wanted to go back to Hawaii". Sometimes, it pays to listen. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
