I am finally getting round to draining the ant-freeze from my tires that I never should have had the dealer fill em with to begin with (too dangerous for my dog and the neighbor's pets as well).

Will the residual moisture create a rust problem? I know that pressurized air carries a lot of moisture into the tires when you fill with air, but this process will problably leave several ounces of fluid splashing around unless I dismount the tires and let them dry.

Any opinions/experience about whether this is a real threat to rust out my rims would be appreciated.

Since it is an anti freeze mixture, I don't THINK rust should be a problem. And yes you will have some fluid left in the tires. I am assuming these are tubeless tires ?
The only way to be sure and get all the fluid out and to ensure no rust problems is to dismount the tires, and maybe paint the inside of the rims while torn down with Rustoleum or somesuch paint.

Like slowrev said, with antifreeze mixed in, I dought you will have any trouble. Even if some does appear.. it's really not a big problem. Next time you need tires you could buff them off and repaint them. I don't see any need to sweat this problem.
