Tractor
Kioti DK45SE
After months of researching, looking and pricing, I bought a Kioti DK45SE HST with FEL and pallet forks at my local dealer (12 miles from home). Cost me $23,500, delivered with a full tank of fuel. I had called about and drove to look at several used tractors, some orange and some green. I soon learned that the "sweet, low-hour" deals had all "just been sold" but they had "several more tractors to choose from". In the 40 to 50hp range with a FEL the used prices ranged from $11,000 to $25,000. On a used tractor the best financing I could get was 9.5% with 48 months to pay. In my home town I had the choice of Case, Kioti, Kubota, Massey-Fergusion and New Holland. After comparing Kubota specs, prices and reputation of the dealer, I decided on Kioti. I financed part of the cost at 5.49% for 72 months. The 4 year warranty, interest rate, dealership and the high prices, availabilty of used tractors , made buying new a no brainer.
I really like the HST so far. All the tractors I have owned or used before were strictly manual.

Welcome to TBN and welcome to the Kioti pack! You have a very nice and powerful tractor, and you have equipped it with 2 of the most useful things already. Namely the Hydrostatic transmission, and a set of QA pallet forks. I have its little brother a DK35se and love it..

Geat looking pictures of a new machine. Now you're going to need to get some new orange paint on that old brush hog.

Yes, it does need painting. Most of my attachments are older ones that I have had or purchased used.

Cr...is that Bahia? my eyes are watering just looking at it. Back in th emid '70's my parents looked at a place in southern Mississippi to buy. It had 3-4 trout ponds, and 10-15 ac of Bahia... beautiful place. We walked all over the property an little did I know that Bahia was at the top of my allergy list...and it was seeding. I spent the evening in the ER:muttering:

Yes, it is Argentine Bahia. At one time an excellent hay field. It has not been managed well lately and the broom sage was trying to take over. ATTACK! lol

Congratulations on your new tractor, I own several and some with my brothers, all different colors. My youngest brother recently decided he needed something smaller, but not too small to trailer for small jobs when he retires next year. He is a great mechanic though he changed professions a few years ago and sold his business. After looking at all different makes and models, he picked up a CK27 synch-shuttle as the best buy for the buck and couldn't be happier.
