I'm looking at a suspension seat, but none of the bolt holes line up. Do you generally drill holes to match up with the tractor? I don't want to order one of these things and find out I can't make it work.
Also, how do you get the seat safety switch to work, seems like I almost have to weld a little bracket on to hold the switch.

Go to Northern Tool dot com and search for "milsco v 5300". It comes with a safety switch installed. I put one on my mower and love it. Cost was around $350.

I put a Michigan Suspension Seat on my L3700. The bolt pattern for the new seat was larger than the stock unit so I had a bracket fabricated with both patterns for not so much money. I was able to rig the safety switch as well, all told a half hour job once I had the transition bracket in hand.

This...you make a bracket. Having put so many different seats in different things over the years this is the best way to go. And you are talking a tractor here, not a car...you don't have to worry about that seat coming loose in a crash.
