I have purchased 5 or 6 of them new, from AgriSupply, and SurplusCnter. All were less than $25, for both long
or short, CAT 1. Decent quality.

I agree with the others that a tight Heim joint is standard, and not a bad thing. None have a stop, and some OEM
toplinks have no stops, too.

Bought mine from AgriSupply as well with no problems.

I think the OEM top links are the nicest. They screw in and out
nice and easy.

Some of the OEM toplinks have threaded sections that are only 50-75% the diameter
of some of the $25 aftermarket units I have here. So you can buy a much stronger
unit from AgriSupply for a lot less money.

I think the BX has the smaller diameter threads.

I got a quote for Kubota OEM toplink, $177. No wonder it seemed so well made.

Even OEM top links don't have stops to keep them from unscrewing all the way out, that is how you can get the apart for cleaning.

Wrong. My OEM toplink had interference threads on the end, so to unscrew them all the way I had to put the body in a vise and use a small bar through the eye to turn it. It would not be possible to unscrew it by hand, or even using light tools like a channel lock.

Poor threads is another issue entirely and you should have noticed that prior to buying it.

Hard to notice without unwrapping it, not something I normally do but maybe I should start.

P.S. :I wouldn't blame TSC for not taking it back if you think to bring it back after grinding off the ball socket.

You won't have to blame them, I'm not taking it back.
