Hi to one and all from a transplanted hillbilly.
I teach High School Ag north of Tampa in Zephyrhills (City Of pure water) . When I first came here a water company pulled water from the city water main and bottled it. Then Nestle bought them out and now draws water from a spring south of town. Of course the ranch where it is located had to shut out the local kids that swam in it. The botrtles say Zephyrhills water, or Perrier or what ever label is needed that day. Being an ag teacher we have farm equipment "donated" Most of the time it is beyond hope and that from the son of a former CCC boy and Great Depression survivor. In the shop today we have a hugh old Dueitz getting rings and gaskets. If we can make it run we will try to fix the PTO. We also have a MF 20 /Perkins ADP 154 engine awaiting an in frame overhaul. We just finished a 165 Massey and are working on restoring the under carraige of an 1860's era Stage coach. We teach the students to drive draft horses, oxen as well as tractors. One can not appriciate an airconditioned cab until one has followed a team of horses for a day.
I have a farm in the southern Ohio hills, MY son is the Agriculture agent in Perryville Arkansas,( Home county for Toad Suck Arkansas) my daughter and son in law ranch and raise Milo, Wheat, oil and gas wells in Texas. I would love to find a good ole JI case 1070 or above to work with. Friday Night we baled our 30 acres of tifton 44 hay with 125 bales that is a solid good average around here.
