Tires AG tires to turf tires

I presently have 12.4 x 24 Ag tires on my Mitsubishi tractor and would like to know what size turf tires I can put on . is there an easy way to determine the right size.

If your tractor is 4 wheel drive, it is not so important as to tire size as keeping the lead ratio the same for all 4 tires. Tire diameter is correlated to this factor. The easiest way is to see if there is any info as to tire sizes from the tractor manufacturer for the 3 different types (Ag, R4 and turf). If your tractor is too old to do this, Mitsubishi makes tractors for several companies such as Mahindra. Perhaps you can get a clue of what they are using for turf tire sizes and match that to your tractor. 27x8.5-15 / 41x14-20 is what Mahindra is currently listing as turf sizes for their tractors using 12.4 rears and 8x16 fronts.

My tractor owner manual listed tire sizes for my tractor.(it was a Kubota).

My Kubota manual also lits all suggested tire sizes/types based on 4x2 or 4x4 varients for my model.

As the others say, if it is a 4wd model you will likely need different rims as well as tires to maintain the proper ratio. The front wheels need to spin 2-5% faster than the rear wheels, or you end up being terribly hard on your drive train. You _don't_ want to be hard on your drivetrain.....

If it is 2wd only, then really anything will work, but you'd like it to match the diameter of your current tires as much as possible to keep the speeds correct. I believe you'd need to have the rim width as well to get to this diameter with different style tires?

My Ford/NH manual also lists such info, I'd be surprised if it isn't in your manual as well. That would be the easiest.
