Comparison AG tires versus bar grating bridge

I am planning on getting AG tires. This week end I was walking across the bridge going back to my barn and I realized I better make sure the decking won't cut the tires. This may be a silly concern; but, I have zip experience and have learned to do my homework, even if it seems silly to experienced people.

I commonly drive cars and trucks across with no problem; but, none of these have the lugs and large gaps like on ag tires.

The bridge is 8' wide x 20' long. The decking is 1/4" x 1 1/4" bar grating. Each opening is approx. 1" x 4". The 4" dimension is parallel to the bridge's width.

Would this be a reason to get a less aggressive tread pattern?

Have to admit to not knowing for sure, but I doubt this grating will have any measurable effect on Ag your tires. As long as you are not turning on the bridge, or braking one wheel, then I think you are going to be ok.
