I thought Commercial industrial and r4 were all the same tire just called different names.
Aren't bar tires and ag tires the same tires with different names?

You are correct R4 tires are the same as industrial. Bar tires are similar to AG tires but have no where near the same size lugs. I doubt they make AG tires for the BX series because of the fact they are not designed for that type of use. I believe that the bar tires are the closest tires to Ag's that u can get with that tractor. Haven't done ne research on this but it makes sense

well the sales man at my dealer says that yes he can get a set of ags for my 2200 they seem to be rather skinney and tall the lug on the fronts is about 2-2.5 inches tall the rears seem to be a little smaller lug. he says that he has sold a set and that the add about 3 inches of clearence but narrow the stance about 6 inches, which in my mind would make them very top heavy. I will see if i can get some more info.

I would be careful. Kubota has taken pains to equip the tractor with the exact same size tires in both turf and bar options. You must make sure that the front to rear ratio calculations are perfect if you change tire diameters, otherwise, you will eat up drive components.

In larger tractors with ag tire options, the guesswork is taken away by Kubota providing matched sets.

just curious? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif but why would u want AG tire on a bx?

Why do you need more traction?
My BX 23 with Bar tires hardly ever spins a wheel?

I'd sure like to see ags side by side on BXs to see any difference. My turfs seem to grip the ground well on dry ground. I can see where if you are in mud, they would slip worse than ags.

There seems to be a lot of ground contact with the turfs, and I'm a big boy, so I add plenty of rear ballast to the tractor...................

To me, narrow bars or ags wouldn't seem to provide as much umph as the wide turfs.......

Am I missing something? THKS.

I have turf tires now but I am unhappy with my loader performance with these tires I am in very muddy conditions, along with breaking trails in woods. The thing i like best about the prospect of purchasing new tires is the clearence issue along with better traction than the turfs. the issue of tearing up drive train components makes me think? But **** this is a KUBOTA built to beat as i always say to my deer buddies.
