Agra Cat 4140?

I saw an Agra Cat 4140 at a local dealer that told me this is the same as the Montana 3940. Can anyone shed some light on the Agra Cat? I've searched the internet quite a bit and can't seem to find anything to confirm this. Thanks

It's the same. AgraCat was changing over from Chinese-built tractors to LG-built tractors, but filed bancruptcy before catching hold. I've heard that the guy, or group of guys, that were behind AgraCat, are also involved with LG Montana, but I don't know that for sure. So parts and service should be available through the LG Montana dealers.

Hello Kevanos. Agracat was trying to move from Chinese to LG manufactured tractors but they were aparently already to deeply mired in financial trouble to be able to move forward.

They are not the same owners. In fact Montana is owned by some very successful and powerful businessmen. One being JB Hunt (trucking fame) but their are some others who are also involved that have financial where withall the likes of very few ever see.

The financial strength, vision, product and willingness to support the dealer network is impressive. Now, this is just information as I have to be cautious as I don't want to appear to be advertising or beating the drum. I have been told that it has appeared that way in the past. This is just information and facts.

I had the opportunity to spend time with the owners, including Mr. Hunt about 3 weeks ago. I toured the facilities (posted some pictures here), got to ask indepth questions as to the plan on building the company and was able to see first hand the plans of the future for Montana and boy was I excited.

Montana has the products, the management, the financial ability and the quickly growing dealer network that I assure you will be around for the very long term.

Thanks to all. Ihad a hard time with the discisson but went with a JD 3520. The Agra Cat was tagged as LG Cable and the dealer was changing out the decals to Montana from Agra Cat

LG Montana may have bought some of Agra Cat's inventory, which would allow this dealer to switch the decals. Both are built by LG (LG Cable) in South Korea, although they just switched their name to LS.
