Hey everyone..
First time posting to this forum so bare with me and I hope I put this in the right location.
I've got a dilemma on my hands I feel, which means I need some guidance.
Currently I own 2 - 25hp AgraCat tractors. 1 has a koyker 160 loader and the other is just the tractor. Both are 4WD, 1 with turf tires and the other with R4 tires.
I own 20 acres so I use the tractors for mowing, moving trees, dirt, etc...
Growing up on the farm my dad had a john deere 1050 4WD w/70 loader which was a great tractor & should have never sold it!! haha A 4WD 1050 came up on craigslist w/o a loader but it sold before I could look at it. I then noticed there's 2 - 950 john deeres in the town I'm close to for sale at $4,000 for both. One is missing a front wheel both and both of them have crack heads. Also says the one has a rear hook ups and you can see from the picture the one has a hydro steering. It doesn't say anything about live take off though. I've seen new aftermarket heads online from around $900 - $1,000. Here's the add John Deere 95 needs work
I've thought about buying the 950's, fixing them up and resealing them. But then I've also considered putting the koyker 160 loader on the one, selling the other, and both AgraCats being I've wanted a larger tractor and that 1050 we had was a great tractor; I know it's not a 1050 but from what I've research only difference from the 1050 we use to have is 4WD, live PTO, hydro steering, and turbo. I know the 950 isn't much larger but I feel it's a much better tractor than the AgraCat's.
Would I be able to fix up those 950's and make some money?
Or would I be kicking myself to put the loader on the 950 and keep it being it's only 2WD?
Thanks everybody,
Russell
