ags 2140 gear oil?

New to TBN...Would appreciate it if someone out there could tell me what kind of
gear fluid I need to use in the rear end of my '95 cub cadet age 2140...2000 series

I'm not sure "Cub Cadet Drive System Oil" can be had anymore as "Cub Cadet Drive System Fluid Plus" superseded it years ago.

Many of us use something along the lines of Shell Rotella-T 15w40 in it's place since the Cub liquid gold is basically the same thing, but ~$10 a quart. Your 6spd AGS will use over $60 of fluid plus, vs. ~$12-15 worth of Rotella.

Will the rotella work in a 3235 hydro. drive as well. I lost my resource for the cub oil and need to find a replacement

The manufacturer of the Hydro was "Hydro gear" and they recommend as a replacement a 20w/50 SG/CD engine oil or 15w/50 synthetic i.e. Mobil 1.
When shipped new from factory they came with 10W/40 but the thing to remember is heat in a Hydro is its enemy so if you live in a hotter region the 50 is the better choice

Fluids
The fluids used in HYDRO-GEAR products have been
carefully selected, and only equivalent, or better products
should be substituted.
Typically, an engine oil with a minimum rating of 9.0 cSt
(55 SUS) at 230ｰF (110ｰC) and an API classification of SJ/
CD is recommended. A 20W-50 engine oil has been
selected for use by the factory and is recommended for
normal operating temperatures. For colder climate operation
(see chart), a change to a 10w-40 engine oil may be
necessary. Another alternative that will provide excellent
all climate performance and extended time between oil
changes is a 15W-50 synthetic engine oil.
